_arb_vec_estimate_allocated_bytes

Synopsis#include <flint/arb.h>
double _arb_vec_estimate_allocated_bytes(slong len, slong prec)source

Estimates the number of bytes needed for a vector of len balls with prec-bit midpoints, including the limb data. The return type is double to avoid overflow.

This is only an estimate. Zeros and small integers use no heap memory whatever the precision, the estimate assumes that exponents are small, and the memory allocator and the operating system add their own overhead.
