`gr_gen`

Synopsis#include <flint/gr.h>

int gr_gen(gr_ptr res, gr_ctx_t ctx)source

Sets res to the generator of the ring: x in R[x] or R[[x]], the generator of the defining polynomial in a finite field or number field, the image of x in a quotient ring R[x]/(m). Returns GR_UNABLE for rings without a distinguished generator.
