void mpoly_from_mpolyl_perm_inflate(ulong * Bexps, flint_bitcnt_t Bbits, const mpoly_ctx_t Bctx, ulong * Aexps, flint_bitcnt_t Abits, const mpoly_ctx_t Actx, slong length, const slong * perm, const ulong * shift, const ulong * stride)source

Convert monomials between a context Bctx with n variables and a lex context Actx with m \le n variables, both with single precision packing. Deflation sets the exponent of variable k of A to (e_l - \mathit{shift}_l)/\mathit{stride}_l where l = \mathit{perm}[k] and e_l is the exponent of variable l of B; inflation is the inverse, setting the exponents of variables of B not in the image of perm to their shift. The GCD and factoring code use these to move to a lex ordering in the variables that actually occur. The order of the monomials is not maintained; the caller sorts afterwards.
