mpoly_univar_resultant, mpoly_univar_discriminant
Synopsis
#include <flint/mpoly.h>int mpoly_univar_resultant(void * r, mpoly_univar_t fx, mpoly_univar_t gx, mpoly_void_ring_t R)sourceint mpoly_univar_discriminant(void * d, mpoly_univar_t fx, mpoly_void_ring_t R)sourceSet r to the resultant of f and g, respectively d to the discriminant of f, using the subresultant algorithm; the inputs are destroyed. The resultant of a zero polynomial is zero, the discriminant of a constant a is 1/a^2 (so it can fail), and the discriminant of a linear polynomial is 1. Return 1 for success and 0 if a ring operation failed.
