Elementwise quotients and quotients by a scalar, with the same results as the scalar division, except that _nfloat_vec_div_scalar for three or more words and a divisor of two or more nonzero words may differ by up to 1 ulp without directed rounding.

The elementwise division inlines the one- and two-word kernels. Division by a scalar precomputes the one-word inverse, the 3/2 inverse, or for three or more words an approximate reciprocal with one guard word, so that each quotient costs one high product of n + 1 words; with directed rounding, the truncation is certified using the guard word and otherwise recomputed by exact division.
