truth_t ca_check_is_algebraic(const ca_t x, ca_ctx_t ctx)source
truth_t ca_check_is_rational(const ca_t x, ca_ctx_t ctx)source
truth_t ca_check_is_integer(const ca_t x, ca_ctx_t ctx)source

Checks whether x is an algebraic number, a rational number or an integer. Special values give T_FALSE (or T_UNKNOWN for Unknown).

ca_check_is_algebraic returns T_TRUE when every extension number is algebraic by construction (see ca_can_evaluate_qqbar), and otherwise T_UNKNOWN: it never proves transcendence. The other two functions use numerical evaluation to disprove and exact evaluation to an algebraic number to prove.
